Garhwal Himalaya
              The northern part of the state of Uttarakhand covers with the Himalayas. For centuries, pilgrims came to the shrine of the land of God. The Himalayan peaks heavenly charm attracts nature lovers and beauty is spread on every bend. From Haridwar, it can be divided into small tour plans, and you can see the pilgrimages and rocky shores of the carousel Himalayas.
Haridwar
                 The entrance to Devlok (land of God) is Haridwar. The life of this city is built on the center of the river Ganga. Haridwar, considered one of India's seven most holy cities, is an ancient city on the banks of the Ganga River in Uttarakhand's Garhwal district. Haridwar is a famous Hindu temple town, dotted with temples, ashrams and narrow streets across the city, where millions of devotees come to take a dip in the holy Ganges. Getting a dip in the sacred Har Ki Pauri is believed to rid you of all your sins.

                 Haridwar is witness to a set of rituals every evening for the famous Ganga Aarti in the Ghats (River Banks) where thousands of devotees come together to pray to the river. Once in every twelve years, during the world-famous Kumbh Mela, Haridwar is host to the mega-gathering that sees millions of visitors from across the country.
     Haridwar also serves as the base destination for some of Rishikesh and Devprayag's other tourist towns, since Hardwar is well connected by trains and roads.

          From Haridwar, going through Rishikesh, Devprayag, Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Kund, Guptashi, Sitapur, Shonaprayag reached Gaurikund first. The road is roughly 213 km. It is good to stay in Guptakashi or Rudraprayag one night without crossing it once at a time. After the natural disaster in 2013, Kedarnath is about 17 km walk from Gaurikund to Vimbali, Lyncholi on the new route.
                  In Uttarakhand Kedarnath, as part of Char Dham Yatra, is one of the most important Lord Shiva temples. The temple is the highest among Lord Shiva's 12 Jyotirlingas. Lord Shiva's abode can only be reached from Gaurikund through a trek and is closed due to heavy snowfall for the six months of winter. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector, and the destroyer, believing that a journey to this sacred land will open doors to "Moksha" or salvation.
             The Kedarnath Temple is situated at a height of 3,584 meters on the Garhwal Himalayan Range in the Rudraprayag District. Built among the snow-clad mountains near the Chorabari Glacier with the Mandakini River flowing in front of it, every year Kedarnath witnesses lakhs of devotees because of their religious significance.

          On the way back from Kedarnath, the Chameli came along with the Chameli-Ukhimath Road,  through Birhi, Mayapur, Gorurganga to Joshimath. Joshimath is the gateway to Badrinath. The distance from Haridwar is about 274 km.
       Joshimath, also known as Jyotirmath, is a hill town located at an altitude of 6155 feet in the Gharwal district of Uttarakhand, Chamoli. Joshimath serves as an important religious center for Hindu pilgrims and is near to one of Adi Guru Shri Shankaracharya's four' maths' built in the 8th century. This' math' is dedicated to Hindus's holy text, Atharva Veda.
            Overlooking the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers in Vishnu Prayag, Joshimath is also Lord Badri's winter home as the idol moves from Badrinath to Joshimath in winter.
Auli
                 From Joshimath, the distance of Auli near about 13 km by road. However, the longest ropeway in India can be accessed by a magnificent 4.5 km thrilling way, which is almost 10200 feet high in the land of unspoiled beauty i.e. Auli.

                   There is no dearth of natural beauty in Auli, dotted with apple orchards, old oaks, and pine trees. Including hiking, you can also go on various treks in the hills of the Garhwal Himalayas and admire the snow-draped mountains ' spellbinding views. Auli is a popular Himalayan hill resort dating back to the 8th century AD. 
         Thanks to its glittering slopes and clean environment, Auli is a popular ski destination in India. Auli is a popular hill town with numerous ski resorts located in the middle of the Himalayan range, with apple orchards, oaks, and deodars. Nanda Devi, Mana Parvat and Kamat Kamet, Nilgiri, Palki, etc peaks of the Himalayas are like in our hand distance from Auli.

Badrinath

                The ancient Vishnu shrine is Badrinath, at a height of 3133 meters 43 km from Joshimath. The actual distance from Haridwar is 320 km. Perched on the tracks of the Garhwal hill, near the Alaknanda River, Lord Vishnu is devoted to the holiest Badrinath Temple or the Badrinarayan Temple. Believed to have been originally established by the saint, Adi Shankaracharya, Lord Vishnu's black stone idol is 1 m tall and is regarded as one of Vishnu's self-manifested statues. It is also mentioned in the 108 Divya Desams in India dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Badrinath Temple's religious significance and purity allure scores of devotees.
                Placed between the mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan, Badrinath was also described in different Vedas. It also derives tremendous significance because of the reference to Lord Shiva in Hindu mythology and from the variety of myths, tales, and beliefs surrounding this. The shrine's main gate painted in myriad colors. This not only has the image of Lord Vishnu but the temple houses several other gods and saints. The temple remains closed due to extreme weather conditions from November to April.

              District Headquarters Uttarkashi is an ancient advanced city on the banks of the Bhagirathi. From Haridwar, Rishikesh, Chamba, Dharshu have to reach Uttarkashi at the entrance of Gangotri and the distance from Haridwar is about 174km.

              Enduringly named as Devbhoomi, Uttarkashi is a quaint little town tucked away in Uttarakhand's hill state, literally meaning' Kashi of the East.' The townhouses, regarded by the Hindus as one of their favorite religious sites, are two of Hindu mythology's total four holy shrines. It is one of the area's most visited cities of religious relevance and gives you a sense of elevated divinity and an experience out of the world. Originally, the area was more in favor of religious tourism, but lately, the spurring of trekking and adventure activities is also attracting many non-religious visitors. The city has a spiritual vibe to it, full of ashrams and mandir.

         The distance of Gangotri from Uttarkashi is about 101 km. The distance coming directly from Haridwar is 270 km. The distance from the bus stand to the temple is half-kilometer. The 20 feet tall white-stone temple of 3042 meters height is stone-decorated with a golden peak.
This Uttarkashi shrine place is mostly popular for the four religious centers or, as they say, the spots of Char Dham. Mythological stories will lead you to believe that Goddess Ganga transformed herself into a river after the penance of King Bhagirathi spread over the centuries to wash away the sins of her forefathers. Then Lord Shiva gathers Ganga in his matted locks to minimize the immense impact of her fall, and Bhagirathi has also been called since the Himalayan glacier from which Ganga emerges. Ganga derives its name after Devprayag crosses the river and flows into the Alaknanda river.

                From Gangotri, through Dhakasu, Barkat, Hanuman, the carriage ends at Janki Chotti. The distance from Uttarkashi is about 120 km. After the visit Yamunotri can be returned from that same day by walking 7 km from Janki Chatti.
