Nainital/Naini Lake
Naini Lake is a beautiful natural clean body lake, right in the middle of Nainital. The lake is in the form of an archway and is one of the Kumaon area's most prominent lakes. The Nainital Lake, bordered by Naini Peak on the North West, offers a stunning view, especially during the sunrise and sunset. It is most popular for boating, picnics and walking in the evening.
A stunning beauty, surrounded by seven distinct peaks, namely Ayarpata, Deopata, Handi-Bandi peak, Cheena Hill, Alma, Laria-Kanta & Sher-Ka-Danda, is the Nainital Lake. The lake itself can be split into two distinct parts, called Mallital in the north portion and Tallital in the south portion. Landscape (forests) covering the hillside surely add to the place's incredible beauty. On the shores of the lake, you can also visit Naina Devi Temple. In a word, Naini Lake today acts as a major tourist touristic destination from all over the world.
Snow View Point
At a bewildering altitude of 2280 meters above sea level, Snow View Point in Nainital is one of the region's most desirable tourist spots. As the name suggests, the scenic beauty of the mighty Himalayas wrapped in a towel of milky-white snow is offered. A majestic view of all three major peaks can be seen—the peaks of Nanda Devi, Trishul & Nanda Kot together from this point.
The Snow View Point clearly has seen through binoculars that allow you to take a closer look at the Himalayan range and its mystical peaks. Look closer and you'll see a small temple with pictures of Ram, Sita, Laxman, Hanuman, Durga & Shiva. An aerial cable car links you straight from Mallital Mall Road to Snow View Point and offers you an amazing view of the beautiful city.
Eco Cave Garden
Popular for its linked limestone caves, the hanging parks & the musical waterfall, the Eco Garden is a series of 6 caves in the form of different animals. Positioned in the Mallital region of Nainital, you need to creep in. In the evenings, you can see a musical fountain presentation with a range of audio/visual effects.
The Eco Cave Park is built to give visitors a glimpse of the natural world of the Himalayan Wildlife by building different caves for different species, close to their natural home. The most famous caves are Tiger Cave, Panther Cave, Apes Cave, Bat Cave & Flying Fox Cave. Visiting the Eco Cave Garden is not suggested for old people and children.
Naina Devi Temple
The Naina Devi Temple in Nainital is a famous Hindu pilgrimage place and one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in India. The main deity of the Shrine of Naina Devi is Maa Naina Devi or Mata Sati. As per Hindu mythology, the temple is built on the location where the eyes of Goddess Sati fall. Within the Naina Devi Temple, you can find the two eyes on the top, representing the goddess Naina Devi, situated in the middle, with the statues of the Deity Kali and Lord Ganesha circling it. The town, Nainital was named after the Temple of Naina Devi.
How to Reach
From Delhi (approx. 380km) and nearby areas as well as very well linked by bus, road & rail. The most comfortable way to get to Nainital from Delhi is by car or overnight bus. Nainital is also linked to all parts of India by train via Kathgodam Railway Station, approximately 40 km away. There is no direct flight link to Nainital.

Best time to Visit
Throughout the year. But to witness the snowfall in Nainital, the best time to visit Nainital is from late Nov to Feb, i.e., the winter season. Nainital memories of heavy rainfall and frequent landslides during the monsoon make it the least favorite season to visit.
